- Anavalos marine resurgence: Producing almost 900 000 m3 / day of clean water, exceeding all urban agricultural water needs around (only 30% of the exploited amount. The other part flows into the sea). The salinity of Anavalos water varies between 180 and 600ppm.
- In adriatique and mediterranean seas, 500 marines resurgences are listed. (Spain, Italy, Greece, Croatia, Cyprus, Turkey, Lebanon …)
- In the world, ONU part of UNESCO report more than 10 000 listed marine resurgences. (Mediterranean Sea, Adriatic Sea, Atlantic Ocean China Sea, Australia, New Zealand, Madagascar, Gol of Mexico…)
Since old times, marine resurgences have been known. Strabon (1st century BC) evokes it during the siege of Tyr, as muchas the Phoenicians who supplied pure water using amphorae. Even in the stories of Moroccan fishermen and Arab sailors in the Mediterranean and the Red Sea. It is a fact, on all continents, in most of the coastal countries in water needs, we observe attempts to extract ths water, by rudimentary techniques without mastering the method.
